This section provides information on how you apply for funding from Coast Opportunity Funds. If this information does not answer your questions, please contact us. We work collaboratively with you and with as much flexibility as possible to help you access the money available to you from the Funds.
Three main steps: In order to apply for funding, you must follow these three main steps:
Step 1: Review the eligibility of your project
Step 2: Submit a project summary so that we can discuss the proposed project together before you develop a complete application. Download a project summary template.
Step 3: Submit a complete application, including a detailed work plan and budget
When an application is received, we will review the application in detail and will contact you if additional information or further clarification is needed. Once your application is complete, the Project Review Committee (PRC) will review the application and make a recommendation to the full Board for decision. PRC and Board approval is required for all awards.
Decisions on awards: The Board makes award decisions quarterly. The upcoming application dates are:

The review period is short so that we can respond to your needs as quickly as possible. Applications must therefore be complete before the deadline or they will be reviewed during the next review period. We strongly encourage you to submit a project summary and to discuss your project with us well in advance of the application deadline. Download a project summary template.
Getting started on the process
The application process for both Funds is very similar, but you need to be aware of several important differences in the eligibility requirements and in the information requested. Please take the time to review the separate process for applying to each Fund. This will also help you decide which Fund is most appropriate for your project:
The Conservation Fund or the Economic Development Fund.
